Grass cutting

As tenants are not able to visit their caravans and chalets at the moment we are offering to cut the grass in your plot for you. There will be no charge for this. If you would like to take advantage of this service then please contact Margaret Hillman, our Park Manager.

COVID-19 update

Following the changes announced by the government earlier this week we wanted to update you on the implications for Barrow Marsh. Sadly we will have to stay closed for the time being as the law requires us to do so but there is now a real possibility that visits could be allowed at some point in June or July. We are really keen to get the season up and running and will inform you as soon as we are able to alter the current position. Thank you for your continued understanding and compliance.

COVID-19 update

We will contact tenants next week with an update on the implications of COVID-19 for Barrow Marsh. If you haven’t already done so then PLEASE send your email address to Margaret so that we can do this as efficiently as possible. In the meantime thank you to all tenants for adhering to the government’s instructions at this difficult time and not visiting the site.

COVID-19 URGENT UPDATE

Dear Tenants

In this national emergency we hope you understand that the priority is the health of the nation and we must all do what we can to help.

So those of you that are thinking of coming down in the next few weeks should not do so.

If you are already here but have a primary residence which you can use safely you should return to it as soon as possible.

But if you are already in your caravan or chalet and are not able to return to your primary residence due to other house members self-isolating, or if you have no primary residence, then you may remain here, self-isolating, in your caravan or chalet.

We will have a skeleton staff on the site and we would urge you to read and adhere to notices put up on site.

We hope this makes things clear. If the situation changes then we will let you know but in the meantime please respect the decisions we have taken and also the government’s instructions on social distancing, non-essential travel and self isolation.

End of season

We hope you have had a good season at Barrow Marsh. There have been quite a few changes on the administration side of things and we are grateful for your patience and understanding. Many thanks to those of you who have given us your email addresses. This is essential because bills are now sent out by email as this links in to the electronic payments which most of you are now making. If you haven’t given us your email address please give it to Margaret as soon as possible, ideally before the end of the season.

The season ends on Saturday 30th November at 3pm. If you lock your gate then please can you take your meter reading and give it to the office. Thank you and we wish you well for the festive season and beyond.

New season

The site opens next week on Friday 1st March and the weather looks like being better than last year so a weekend at Barrow Marsh could be a good way to start the Spring!

You can now access the 2019 letter to tenants on the web site. This is a must-read document with updated arrangements for the new season.

Welcome back!

End of season

This is just a reminder that the site closes down for the winter at 3pm on Friday 30th November. We look forward to seeing you all next year – reopening on the usual date of March 1st. Have a good Christmas!

John Wakelin

John Wakelin passed away peacefully on Saturday 13th October at his home in Elsworth, Cambridgeshire. He did a great deal to modernise and update the caravan park during his time as partner between 1980 and 2015. We are sure many of you will remember seeing him around the site or at the bungalow.

His funeral will take place at 11am on Monday 29th October at Elsworth Church in Cambridgeshire.
